On Saturday, August 2, 2025, the St. Francis Xavier (SFX) Ward stepped forward in a spirit of voluntary service to contribute to the ongoing Jubilee Year commemorations.
Eleven ward members gathered in the church plantation area from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., engaging in various forms of maintenance work — removing weeds, collecting fallen coconuts, and planting a new coconut sapling beside the spot where two old coconut trees had died. Their efforts brought a fresh and clean look to the area while supporting the upkeep of church property.
The activity was initiated by ward leader Mr. Stany Lobo, with the enthusiastic participation of the ward representatives and other dedicated members of the ward. When asked about their motivation, members humbly shared that this initiative was their way of offering service during the Jubilee Year, marking 2025 years since the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men."
