About US
Welcome to Our Lady of Loreto Parish!
Our parish has a rich and inspiring history, beginning with its establishment on November 1, 1939, by Bishop Victor R. Fernandes. What started as a small chapel in Panningila Padav has grown into a vibrant community dedicated to faith, service, and education.
Our Journey:
In the early years, Fr. Charles P. Nazareth, our first resident parish priest, laid the foundation of our parish with the construction of a chapel and a presbytery. Over the decades, dedicated clergy such as Fr. Gerald R. Miranda, Rev. Fr. Alphonsus D’Cunha, and Fr. Placid Pereira have built upon this foundation, leading the way in expanding and enhancing our church and its facilities.
Significant milestones include the diamond jubilee celebrations in 2001, under the guidance of Fr. Anthony Lobo, and the platinum jubilee in 2016, celebrated with great fervor during Fr. Elias D’Souza’s tenure. These events marked the growth and deepening of our parish community's faith and commitment.
Our Mission:
At Our Lady of Loreto, we are dedicated to nurturing spiritual growth, fostering a sense of community, and providing educational opportunities through our four schools. Our parish is a place where faith meets action, where traditions are honored, and where each member is valued.
As we continue to build upon the legacy of those who came before us, we are committed to making our parish a welcoming space for all. Whether you are a lifelong member or new to our community, you will find a place here to grow in faith, connect with others, and contribute to our shared mission.
