Parish Choir Picnic – A Day of Joy and Togetherness

On 26-02-2025, Wednesday, the choir team of Loretto Church embarked on a memorable picnic, filled with spiritual visits, scenic beauty, and adventure. A total of 18 members, accompanied by our beloved parish priest, Rev. Fr. Francis Crasta, set off on this exciting journey to Madikeri at 5:30 AM in a mini-bus from Loretto Church.

Our first stop was St. Brigid of Ireland Church in Sullia, where we were warmly welcomed by Fr. Victor D’Souza, a former parish priest of Loretto Church.

Next, we visited Raja’s Seat in Madikeri, where everyone was mesmerized by the breathtaking view of the hills and valleys. 

We then made our way to Abbey Falls, a stunning waterfall nestled in the heart of Coorg. 

After an eventful morning, we relished a hearty lunch at New Church Side Restaurant before proceeding to the Namdroling Monastery in Kushalnagar. 

Our next destination was Kaveri Nisargadhama, a beautiful river island offering various activities.

As the day came to an end, we began our return journey, stopping at a restaurant for dinner before finally reaching Loretto Church at 10:45 PM.

This picnic was not just a day of fun but also a time of bonding, relaxation, and experiencing the wonders of God’s creation. We are grateful to our parish priest, Fr. Francis Crasta, and everyone who contributed to making this trip a delightful experience.
