May 11, Loretto: Our Lady of Loretto Church came alive with spiritual fervor and joyful fellowship as it hosted the Jubilee Celebration of Priests and Religious, honoring their dedicated years of service to the Church and community. The event was graced by the presence of around 15 priests and 35 nuns, making it a truly blessed occasion.
The celebration began with a solemn Eucharistic Mass, offered in thanksgiving for the faithful service of the religious. It was a spiritually enriching experience, filled with prayer, praise, and reflection.
Following the Mass, the congregation gathered for a stage programme held in the parish hall. The event began with a prayer dance by the students, invoking God's blessings. This was followed by a warm welcome address by the Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC). The programme was skillfully compered by Rev. Fr Jason Monis, the principal.
Mementos were presented to each priest and nun as a token of love and appreciation for their commitment and contributions. The Parish Priest shared a heartfelt message, expressing gratitude and admiration for their vocation.
Special highlights of the programme included the sharing of experiences by Sr. Matilda and Fr. Santhosh who reminisced about their journey in religious life and the joy of serving God's people.
Refreshments were served in the morning, and a hearty lunch followed the programme, providing a chance for warm fellowship. Many attendees expressed their happiness at meeting old friends and classmates, making the event a beautiful reunion filled with joy and gratitude. Mrs.Lenny Fernades delivered vote of thanks.
