April 06, Loretto: The feast of St. Sebastian was solemnly celebrated at Our Lady of Loretto Church with great devotion and enthusiasm. The celebration began with a solemn Mass at 7:30 AM, presided over by the main celebrant, Rev. Fr. Anil Dsouza. He was joined by Fr. Francis Crasta, the Parish Priest, and Fr. Jason Monis, the Principal.
During the homily, Rev. Fr. Anil Dsouza preached meaningfully on the importance of family life. He urged the faithful to reflect deeply on the current state of their families and shared insightful ways to strengthen and uplift family life through Christ Jesus.
The Eucharistic celebration was followed by a prayerful procession carrying the sacred relic of St. Sebastian, invoking his intercession for good health and protection. The novena prayers were recited with special intentions, including prayers for animals that assist us in our daily work and live closely with us, recognizing their value in our livelihood.
As a part of the feast tradition, the blessed holy thread of St. Sebastian was distributed among all the parishioners as a sign of blessing and protection. The celebration concluded with light refreshments served to all the faithful gathered.
The parish community came together in faith and fellowship, making the feast of St. Sebastian a spiritually enriching and memorable occasion.
