Christmas Sauhaarda Sambrama - 2024

December 20, 2024, Bantwal: The parishioners of Loretto Church celebrated the spirit of Christmas with great enthusiasm through a unique event, Christmas Sauharda Sambrama . The highlight of the celebration was the tableau depicting the birth story of Lord Jesus, performed by the talented students of Loretto Kannada Medium and English Medium Schools, alongside Loretto Parishioners.

The tableau, creatively staged on a trailer sponsored by Mr. Pius Rodrigues proprietor of Levin engineering works. Tableau was presented in three prominent locations: Annalike, Bantwal Bypass, and Loretto Padav. Each location saw a large gathering of people who came together to celebrate the joy and essence of Christmas.

To ensure smooth organization, nearby ward heads and members were assigned in-charge responsibilities for each location. They efficiently distributed soft drinks and kuswar (traditional Christmas sweets) to the gathering crowds, adding a touch of hospitality to the festive spirit.

The program also honored three notable individuals, recognized for their outstanding contributions to the community. Mrs. Laxmi, retired midwife from Annalike Health Centre, Mr. Bhamy Chidanand Shenoy, Loretto's daily newspaper distributor and Mr. Ramanna Poojary, Loretto's pump operator.

The entire event was expertly compered by Mr. Roshan Pinto, whose efforts ensured a seamless flow of the program. The parish priest  Rev.Fr.Francis Crasta delivered an inspiring Christmas message, emphasizing peace and harmony. The celebration included a warm welcome note, a heartfelt vote of thanks, and melodious Christmas carols performed by the church choir members.

Principal of Our CBSE school Rev.Fr.Jason Monis, vice-president of Paris pastoral council Mr.Cyprian Dsouza, secretary Mrs.Shaila Barboza , Mr.Prakash Vas, Co-Ordinator for all the Commissions, were present.

This vibrant celebration brought the community together, spreading the true message of Christmas—love, joy, and goodwill.
