On the occasion of Christmas, 25th December, a beautiful Christmas tableau was presented by the students of Our Lady of Loretto Church. The tableau procession started from the church at 3:30 p.m. in a trailer and reached Kaikamba at 4:00 p.m., where the first show was presented. The procession then proceeded through the Bantwal Bypass, moved to Tippunagara, and concluded with the final presentation at the church premises.
The tableau depicted the Birth of Jesus Christ, conveying a powerful message of love, peace, and hope. Large crowds gathered at every location, and the performance was highly appreciated by all. The trailers used for the tableau were generously sponsored by Levin Electrical and Engineering Works.
Following the tableau, a Tulu drama titled “SHOBAJI” was organised by the Catholic Sabha, Loretto Unit, to support Manasa Rehabilitation Centre, Pamboor. The drama received an excellent response from the audience.
After the tableau at every venue, the traditional Christmas sweet Kuswar was distributed to all present. Our Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Francis Crasta, delivered the Christmas message at all venues, spreading the true spirit and meaning of Christmas. The programme was well anchored by Rev. Fr. Jason Monis, Principal of Loretto Central School.
The church choir presented melodious carols, while YCS and ICYM students performed dances for the tableau. The children of our parish beautifully enacted the Nativity scene. The wholehearted support and cooperation of all parishioners contributed to the grand success of this event.
Overall, it was a meaningful, well-organised, and memorable Christmas celebration, enjoyed by everyone and enriched with a strong message of faith, unity, and joy.
