Dolours Ward Observes Feast Of Our Lady Of Sorrows

Loretto, Sept 15: The Dolours Ward Feast was joyfully celebrated on September 15  at the residence of Mrs. & Mr. Lancy Gracy Fonseka. The event was graced by prominent members of the parish, including Mr. Cyprian Dsouza, Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council; Mrs. Shaila Barboza, Secretary of the Parish Pastoral Council; Mr. Prakash Vas, Co-Ordinator for all the Commissions; and the Ward Gurkars.

The celebration began with fun-filled games, bringing the ward members together in a spirit of camaraderie. This was followed by a vibrant stage program that featured engaging performances. Mr. Cyprian Dsouza and Fr. Francis Crasta delivered inspiring messages on the importance of the ward and its unity. 

Fr. Francis Crasta then blessed the Novem , symbolizing the community’s faith and traditions.Mrs. Reshma D'Souza presented the yearly ward report, summarizing the activities and accomplishments of the past year.

The highlight of the evening was the felicitation of ward distinction holders, namely Denisha Crasta, Delisha Fonseka, Steenal Rodrigues, Alston Rodrigues, and Prajwal Fonseka, for their academic achievements.

 The event continued with group singing, dance performances, and a skit by ward members, showcasing their talents and creativity.

The celebration concluded with a delightful lunch, lovingly prepared by the ward members, leaving everyone with a sense of fulfillment and joy.
