April 06 , Loretto: As part of the Jubilee Year celebrations, a Holy Pilgrimage Walk was organized from Loretto Church to Infant Jesus Church, Modankap, drawing around 300 parishioners in a spirit of devotion and unity.
The faithful walked through the streets in prayerful silence, reflecting on the Way of the Cross, reciting the Rosary, Litany, and other prayers. It was a touching expression of faith and dedication, as families, youth, and elders participated wholeheartedly.
Upon reaching the Infant Jesus Church in Modankap — which has been specially designated as a Holy Pilgrimage Site by Most Rev. Dr. Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore —A solemn prayer service and adoration was conducted by Fr. Jasaon Monis and Fr. Francis Crasta. According to Church teachings, those who take part in such pilgrimage journeys and fulfill the spiritual conditions may receive a plenary indulgence.
To conclude the spiritual journey, light refreshments were served to all the pilgrims. A return bus service was arranged, ensuring a comfortable trip back to Loretto Church.
Overall, it was a deeply spiritual and grace-filled experience, uniting the parish in prayer and thanksgiving during this special year of grace.
